Free School Meals Explained
At Planet Bake, we believe that every child should have access to a healthy, balanced meal during the school day.
If your child qualifies for Free School Meals (FSM) or Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM), they can enjoy a delicious lunch at no cost to you – and you can order everything easily through our online system.
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 automatically qualify for Universal Infant Free School Meals.
You don’t need to apply — simply register and place your child’s meal order through our website each week.
Means-Tested Free School Meals
If your child is in Year 3 or above, they may still be eligible for Free School Meals based on your household income or if you receive certain benefits.

Ordering Free School Meals Through Planet Bake
Even if your child receives Free School Meals, you must log in and place an order weekly.
This helps us prepare meals accurately, record allergies, and avoid anything being missed. Your child’s meal is only guaranteed if you place an order through our system.
